Tissu très agréable à coudre, ne glisse pas.
Agréable à porter, fluide et opaque.
Une belle jupe d’été!!!
I bought two of the kits thinking I would make the dress (not shirt) and didn't think to look at the sizes and the fabric requirements - I just assumed that the kit would have enough fabric to make the pattern shown in the illustration. Once I read the pattern, I realized that, according to the pattern, I needed more fabric than was offered in either sized kit. I texted with the folks at Closet Core. It turned out for my size, there was enough fabric in the kit, though that is not what the literature would have you understand.
It all worked out and I am pleased with the dress. I did look at Youtube to find out how to make thread belt loops, though.
Love core patterns! Looking forward to sewing with the beautiful fabric too
I wanted a bright tee for high visibility when cycling along roads and on shady rail trails. This color is bright! Fabric is soft and sews up easily - not a lot of curling at the edges like some jerseys. Although it initially felt very drapey, once I had the tee made up it had enough body to skim the body without being clingy. I haven't yet had the chance to wear it to test its moisture-wicking quality.
This IS lovely fabric but, I found it a little tricky to work with. I'm not a beginner; I'd call myself intermediate. I'm rating this four instead of five because after reading so many glowing reviews I decided I had to have this fabric, but I also want to let potential buyers know what to expect. (After working with it I went back and re-read the reviews and discovered many of the reviewers had not actually sewn it up yet.) It is slippery- no problem. I straightened the grain and pinned the fabric to paper to cut out. It wrinkles easily but irons well - with a press cloth and mid temp iron. It has no ease what so ever, so attaching the collar on the shirt I made was tedious. I think if you choose your pattern wisely and you are patient and meticulous you'll be rewarded with a lovely garment. I made the Style Arc Monty shirt but I don't think it was the best pairing; the simpler the pattern the better. I see they recommend the CC Amy jumpsuit which would be a great choice
Sewing is generally a solitary hobby. While I like the solo time, I also like to talk about it, share with people who aren’t going to just smile and nod, and feel connected meaningfully to sewing folks. Crew does this for me through its awesome community forum app and monthly videos with the Closet Core Team. I committed to a year to get a year membership to revive my sewjo. The connection I’m feeling again to sewing is exciting, and that’s even without the great patterns!
