The Moonlight Dress is your new favourite pattern for those moments when you need a dress, immediately. Inspired by the iconic A-line shift dresses of the 1960’s and the perfect canvas for very special fabrics, you’ll be twisting the night away in this comfy yet chic silhouette.
Gently skimming the body and ending above the knee, the bodice is shaped with an angled bust dart and features inseam pockets. A round, high neckline in the front is contrasted by a head-turning deep V in the back. Choose between a short sleeve, or one slightly longer that hits at the elbow. You can also add an optional lining, or leave it unlined and finished with a neckline facing. We've also included two "bonus" collar options if you'd like to add a structural element to your Moonlight!

- This pattern can be made with a variety of fabrics depending on the desired effect. For a more structured shape, use light to heavy weight wovens such as linen, cotton, twill, brocade, jacquard, and fancy fabrics like velvet and sequins.
- For a drapier effect, try rayon challis, viscose, or silk.
