SO SMOOTH! The tag on it recommends cutting flat with a rotary blade, love that they put helpful tips like that on there. Just make sure that your blade is sharp so the fabric doesn't catch and shift, it slides like butter on a hot pan!
So soft and warm, and sews like a dream! Pressing can be a bit of a pain but as long as you use a clapper it'll be fine.
I am highly impressed with this course and recommend it to both beginners and advanced sewists. I have been sewing knits for sometime and not always with the greatest success mostly due to not choosing the right knit or sizing for the pattern. In this class, I picked up so many valuable tips and techniques, learned new things especially around fiber composition, weight, and stretch. I also really enjoyed the sewing demonstrations in the construction and finishing of three Amelie t-shirts using different knit fabrics, necklines and trouble shooting any issues. Knowing how to sew the bound and band neckline methods is a huge bonus and I am very excited to make the Amelie T-Shirt using those techniques. Lastly, I can't say enough about Heather's teaching style which is very thorough, clear, and hands-on, but also highly positive and practical which creates a very fun and interesting class. Overall, a great class and instructor.
Love this pattern idea. I am always trying to find the best pattern and adjusting the fit. The only concern is that a quality t-shirt has matching ribbing. Ribbing is key.
