The Josephine Set captures the effortless glamour of 1930s beach pajamas—that chic loungewear that was equally at home poolside or at evening cocktails. This sophisticated two-piece set transitions seamlessly from lazy mornings to resort dinners. The relaxed cropped tank features wide straps, bust darts and a charming back button closure. High-waisted wide-leg pants complete the look with slanted pockets, sailor-inspired button details at the waistband, and deep top-faced hems for that perfect drape.

Suggested Fabric

  • We suggest structured wovens like cotton poplin, seersucker, chambray, oxford, broadcloth, and linen. The tank can also be made in drapier fabrics like viscose, but the construction of the pants requires a more structured fabric.

Love Josephine Set very much.

Hi, Closet Core Team
I've been joining Closet Core Crew for quite some time and honestly love most of the patterns. I have sewed some and always loved the result. Recently I was excited to make the Josephine Set and loved it so much that I also decided to share my experience in Closet Core Crew Mighty Network. Thank you so much Closet Core Team for making such a great pattern that is a joy to sew and wear. ♥️♥️

Delightful summer top!

Another beautiful pattern from Closet Core Crew. I sewed this up during the first month it was released with some repurposed linen/rayon. I'll definitely make more of this pattern. Thanks, Closet Core!

Josephine Top

A lovely cool breezy top to make and wear. I made some adjustments to the Top to suit me. Lengthened it by 6 inches so more comfortable to wear. Sewed the plackets together because it didn't need buttons (it is loose enough to pull over my head). Crossed the straps at the back so they don't slip off my shoulders. Extended the depth of the front facing to below the bust dart so I can wear it braless.

Patterns are great!

I love all of the patterns I have from Closet Core/Crew. They are well written and mostly easy to make. Who needs patterns from the Big 3 or 4 companies when we have these instead? I wish I had unlimited time to spend on sewing and unlimited funds to purchase all the fabric from Closet Core!

Pattern awesome, Crew Membership annoying

The pattern as usual from Closet Core is perfect. I prefer to line my Josephine top makes, but other than that, I love it. The only thing that I don’t love is the need to join crew every time they bring out a pattern I like. I get the need to diversify and bring in a stable income that subscriptions bring, but I find the inability to buy a pattern once the month is over rather irritating.
