We firmly believe that anyone can sew anything with patience and perseverance, but sometimes it helps to understand how time-consuming or challenging a pattern will be to sew. Here's how we rate the difficulty of our patterns:
Beginner (⭑): Appropriate for a true beginner with simple style lines and details, quick to sew with no closures.
Confident Beginner (⭑⭑): Achievable for beginners who are willing to learn a new skill, may include more design features and techniques (ie. zippers, buttons, facings, etc). Relatively quick to sew.
Intermediate (⭑⭑⭑): More details and style lines, may include interesting details like a zipper fly or topstitching, projects can take 6+ hours to sew.
Advanced (⭑⭑⭑⭑): Still achievable for most sewists, but patterns will include more pieces and more details, and can take 8+ hours to sew.
Challenging(⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑): Complex, skill heavy projects like tailoring and bra-making. Again, achievable for most sewists but be prepared to spend 10+ hours on these types of projects.

Get ready to fall in love with the Terrazzo Dress, a romantic and dramatic pattern that’s easy to fit, easy to customize, and oh-so-easy to wear.
Terrazzo features a high cut architectural neckline that descends into a narrow V, finished with a facing. The overall fit and gathering ratio is controlled at the waist with two rows of channeling and adjustable ties that secure at the side seam; cinch the ties for a defined waist, or loosen them for a billowy fit. Voluminous sleeves are gathered and secured with a band finish and end just below the elbow, and the midi length skirt features an extra deep hem that adds structure and movement. Terrazzo is simply a stunner, and yes, there are pockets (inseam that is!)

When I decided that it was time to finally fulfill my desire to learn to sew I looked around for various options. I had taken an in-person sewing class years ago that I found demoralizing because the pace was quicker than my learning. So, when I found this class it piqued my interest because I could go at my own pace, though I had my doubts about whether or not I could actually make the three patterns. The reviews I read at the time made me take the leap. No regrets. I have made all three patterns and have worn them all. I've made multiple cielo tops and Pietra shorts. I'm now back taking another closet core class-learning to sew button down shirts. I have recommended this class countless times to friends and strangers who express an interest in sewing. Highly recommend. Also, if you are starting from scratch and haven't bought a sewing machine, go ahead and buy the class first as there is a lot of good information about what to look for in a machine and also what other things are good to have and nice to have.
Very pleased with this navy blue wool. I have recently lost quite a bit of weight so I need to make new clothing including a nice winter coat. This fabric is a good weight and lovely warm fabric. It is a very dark almost blue black colour. It will go well with bright accesssories. Have loved all purchases made from you.
