We firmly believe that anyone can sew anything with patience and perseverance, but sometimes it helps to understand how time-consuming or challenging a pattern will be to sew. Here's how we rate the difficulty of our patterns:
Beginner (⭑): Appropriate for a true beginner with simple style lines and details, quick to sew with no closures.
Confident Beginner (⭑⭑): Achievable for beginners who are willing to learn a new skill, may include more design features and techniques (ie. zippers, buttons, facings, etc). Relatively quick to sew.
Intermediate (⭑⭑⭑): More details and style lines, may include interesting details like a zipper fly or topstitching, projects can take 6+ hours to sew.
Advanced (⭑⭑⭑⭑): Still achievable for most sewists, but patterns will include more pieces and more details, and can take 8+ hours to sew.
Challenging(⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑): Complex, skill heavy projects like tailoring and bra-making. Again, achievable for most sewists but be prepared to spend 10+ hours on these types of projects.

With architectural details and a beautifully drapey silhouette, the Marble shell is a unique sleeveless top that looks gorgeous on its own or layered under sweaters and jackets. Marble features an asymmetrical faced neckline, faced armholes and a pointed hem, along with unique seam lines and a bias cut panel adding visual interest to the front. In the back, a notched facing gives structure and dimension to the hem.
It's very beautiful and vibrant and a soft, comfortable feel. I have not sewn anything with it yet...but I definitely plan to make a button up for sure. It is see through, like if you use this fabric to make a top you would have to wear something under it( specially if the light hits you) but I don't mind I actually like wearing thin cami tops under my button ups. But this fabric is perfect for a colorful,fun summer garment...or spring too. I love the colors !!!
The thread gloss smells nice but it is a hard wax and when I apply it, I have to use quite a bit. Sometimes it needs a bit more for the threads to stick together, but the issue with that is that it gets held up in the stitch and the wax then accumulates where the needle pierced the fabric as you pull the thread, which is annoying. Perhaps I may not be using it correctly,but I don't reach for it much for to the above mentioned reasons.
I am a longtime sewist and have never owned duckbilled scissors before. I have good scissors and snips and figured these would just be more clutter in the sewing room. Boy was I wrong! I got these as a gift through the reward program and I couldn’t be more thrilled. They are super sharp and make trimming seams and layering so much easier and faster.
