Thank you!
Despite the thick squishy texture, this was quite easy to sew with. I made a gorgeous Pogonip pullover and got a dozen compliments my first time wearing it. Thick and cozy but stretchy and comfortable, this fabric is a dream!
I ordered this product after getting one of the other jacquard deadstock options from the Cokluch deadstock launch and I couldn’t be happier. The squishy texture and rich deep brown colour are absolutely gorgeous. I can’t wait to make a faux quilted jacket.
I love this fabric!! It was easy to work. I made the Men's Hudson Pant pattern from True Bias. My grandsons picked the color of pant they wanted and they received them as a Christmas gift.
I made the shirt in a viscose twill and it's lovely. I'll make another but take an inch off the length (I'm 5'8"). I sized down by 1 so it wasn't too big after comparing the pattern to a couple of ready to wear shirts I have. The sew was fairly straightforward apart from the cuffs which I had to do twice for some reason. It was my first traditional shirt make and the instructions were generally clear. I have a kit from Guthrie & Ghani which comes with an extra tips video which was useful.
This fabric is beautiful and warm. Not soft to the touch like flannel, more like bouncy and squishy. There is a black batting or stuffing in between layers, and it actually falls out of the fabric. It even leaks out of the selvedges, which is strange. You need to serge ALL the edges before washing. Also, I cut all the fabric pieces ¼" larger than the pattern piece, and serged them as well. Once you contain that black fuzz, the fabric is great. I wouldn't try buttonholes, but an easy jacket with binding on all the edges and a tie closure looks nice. It really is interesting fabric. I love the jacket.
