The design of this pattern is beautiful, absolutely perfect. Very comfortable. I did, however, have to go up almost 2 sizes from my regular clothing to get the right fit. I personally would have liked a little more coverage in the triangles of the halter (for larger bust sizes). But I'll definitely be making another with these adjustments in mind!
This is my first swimsuit and it went pretty well. The end result is gorgeous ! I made the high waist version and hack the halter top by adding a strap underneath. The top is slighty too large though (I think I didn't stretch the elastic enough). I'm also not a fan of the raw edges inside.
I follow the French instructions at first, but switch to the English one after few steps as they make more sens. The French ones were understandable but it felt like they weren't written by a sewist and lead to errors.
I made this suit for my daughter our of red with 3/4 inch white polka dots. She loves it because it is so cute and comfortable. She wore it while we were in Kauai and never wore another even though she took several suite. Thank you for a darling retro
This is my first attempt at making swimwear and my first with lycra. It went well and was much easier to handle than I imagined. I made a bikini by using the top part and just making a strap around the chest underneath it.
The PDF was easy to put together. Sizing was spot on. The directions were great! I made my swimsuit on a Saturday and can't wait to make more. Love the swimsuit style as I have purchased many of the same RTW style, for myself.
I added foam cups and made the straps crisscross instead of tie around my neck. Thanks for making an awesome pattern.
