Just purchased this gorgeous fabric with a quilted jacket in mind. Have to finish up some UFO's (yes, I have a couple) and then get started on this one. Beautiful fabric, great feel and wonderful shop to buy from. Great fast service.

I love the softness of the corduroy. I have not gotten to sewing on the coat buttons but really look forward to seeing them on the coat. They are the perfect colour and I love the simplicity.
I was always intimidated to sew this type of garment. Watching the videos has really calmed my nerves.
What is the anvil with the raised part used for? I read the tutorial mentioned here and it doesn't use it. This photo shows my understanding of how each tool is used. (and I believe the photo shows an old version of a tool included)
