Personalize Carolyn by adding contrasting piping details for an elegant finish.

FAQ

How do I print my PDF pattern?

All of our patterns come in a Letter/A4 format (for printing on a home printer) and 36"x48"/A0 format (for printing at a copyshop). Some patterns also come in a projector format. Please check the INFO+ tab under the description to see page counts and file formats available.

How do I download my PDF Pattern?

First, we suggest creating an account in our shop so you can access all your files in one place at any time!

After you place an order, you will land on a page with a custom download link. You can download your pattern then, or use the link included in the order confirmation sent via email. If you don’t receive a download link via email, please check your junk mail as it may have been rerouted (and add us to your safe senders list so it doesn't happen again!)

Am I charged for taxes?

All Canadians are charged GST and possibly PST depending on where they live in Canada. We do not charge taxes in the US.

Customers based in the EU and UK will also be charged VAT on all goods. Regulations have changed in recent years requiring VAT to be collected based on where the customer resides (and not where the company is located) so we are legally required to collect and remit VAT even though our company is based in Canada. You can read more about the VAT regulations here.

What currency will I be charged in?

Use the dropdown at the top of our menu to choose USD, CAD, AUD, GBP, or EUR dollars to view prices and checkout in the currency of your choice.

For AUD, GBP, and EUR currencies, the price you'll see is linked to the daily exchange rate between USD and your currency, which means prices may fluctuate. For our Canadian customers, we have established set prices that will not vary with exchange rates.

Shipping + Returns

Shipping

American customers: Packages in the US are shipped via USPS First Class and Priority Mail twice a week. Please allow 8 to 12 days for your parcel to arrive.

Canadian customers: Your orders are sent via Canada Post letter or parcel post. Please allow 8 to 12 days for your parcel to arrive, and wait up to 3 weeks before contacting us.

International customers: Estimated delivery dates are listed below the shipping price when you checkout. We have two possible services. International First Class is for packages under 2 kilos and takes approx 10-40 days to arrive depending on your location. International Priority is a bit faster and should arrive at your destination in approx 8-20 days. Both services include tracking for *most* destinations.

Order tracking

Most shipping services we offer come with a tracking number. This will be sent to you via email you once the order has been processed in our warehouse.

If the above mentioned waiting times have elapsed, please message us about your delay. We’ll be happy to work with you to figure out a solution.

Hooray for Me Made Pajamas!

In short, I’m delighted with my new pajamas and will use this pattern again and again! The instructions are clear and easy to follow and the end result is nicely finished. This was my first Closet Core pattern and I would purchase others.

I made the recommended sizes based on my measurements, a 10 in the top and a 12 in the bottoms. When I make my next set, I will probably size up in both for a roomier fit, especially in a woven fabric. I will also increase the rise of the bottoms. I would describe them as mid-rise and I prefer a pajama bottom to fit closer to my natural waist. I may also omit the interfacing for a softer, less-structured lapel and collar. We'll see how the interfacing feels over time.

I agree with the Confident Beginner rating. This was a great project to practice my first French and Bias-Bound seams. For the set in sleeves, I was intimidated to try a French seam while also easing in the sleeve. I looked up alternative seam finishes but ultimately went with a French seam and I'm glad I did. I think it helped me get a pucker-free result in the final seam. My first (hidden) seam wasn't pucker-free but I could work it smooth on the second pass.

I had a small difficulty with printing the pattern. One of the border edges would not print despite being present in the file, correct scale and settings, etc. I'm a Mac user printing to an older Brother printer. Customer Service was extremely responsive and helpful, but unable to resolve the issue and I needed to find a work around. Even so, it was great to print just my needed size from the layered PDF. I'm currently making matching pajamas for my son, using a Big Three tissue paper pattern. I'm tracing the size, so I can use the pattern again and it is tedious. I would assemble another print at home pattern in a heartbeat. Perhaps Closet Core will release family matching Carolyns...

I have made this twice, once as short pajamas and once as long, both with piping. As with all the Closet Core patterns I have used, it is well drafted, with clear instructions. Altogether a very enjoyable sew. I would recommend the excellent online tutorial for sewing the collar and front facing which is the only tricky part of the construction.

Fantastic Pattern!

I got this pattern to make some fancy jammies for my wife and I, but I was unprepared for how nice this pattern is! The technique for sewing the collar without a facing is ingenious. So far I’ve only made a size 24 for my wife, and the only adjustments I had to make were shortening the pants and shirt by about 3” (she’s 5’0”). She’s been wearing them as often as she can, and won’t stop gushing about how comfy they are!

Carolyn Pyjamas

I love this pattern making the pyjama bottoms - I used an Indian block print piping and a stripe contrast fabric for the cuff. The instructions are great I haven’t done much piping. The results are fabulous, I love them and will be making more.

Hello Kitty Carolyn Pyjamas

Great pattern
Quite fitted for pjs but I guess that is what makes them look so “high end”.
Will be making them in silk for me next time so ai can lounge about on the weekend feeling exclusive.
