I really enjoyed this course, how everything is explained and the swimsuit that I was able to make! I would definitely recommend it!
I took 3 sewing classes (Basic clothing, Jacket and swimsuit) with Closetcore Pattern - I enjoyed all of them and learned a lot. Highly recommended!
This class was so great I ended up making three swim suits, two of the two piece and one full suit. I used the class each time and they turned out fantastic. This course took the fear of sewing swim suit fabric away. Great class and would recommend it to anyone wanting to sew their own swim wear.
I would have never found the confidence to try my hand at sewing a swimsuit without this instruction. It felt like a one-on-one class, which is great when working with new materials and learning new techniques.
I just wish I went swimming more so it would make sense to sew up a bunch of swimwear.
I've long wanted to make my own swimsuits and bras but was daunted at the prospect. Underwires, elastic, small seam allowances, stretch fabric - it all seemed too hard to tackle without assistance. Taking this course equipped me with the knowledge and skills to tackle swimsuit and lingerie projects and after completing my first Sophie Swimsuit, I have not looked back. Heather's pep talks and positive attitude inspired me to really step up my sewing game.
i found it very informative - liked the way it was presented - understood the contents-

This tumbled cotton is a wonderful find - the weight is perfect for a variety of garment types and I found it super-easy to sew with. I made a pair of Pietra wide-leg pants and am very happy with them.
I like a simple button, unless it happens to be a big feature of the garment. I especially like buttons that are made from a natural substance. It has become much harder in Vancouver to find such buttons since the retirement of the Button Button store owner some years back. My sister and I will keep good buttons when we are about to reuse warn out clothing (for pet beds) as the buttons are still precious and great to reuse. I wear a a limited number of colours that suit me so my wardrobe will fit together. This makes parking to travel easier.
I envisioned an Elodie out of a Core Fabrics deadstock for some time, and jumped at the sale of my beloved fabric. I’ve never had a pattern fit me pretty much from the envelope (made a few minor adjustments), even loose, flowy garments. This dress was the magical unicorn. Can’t wait to make up another! Don’t see the photo upload options, but here’s a link :) https://www.instagram.com/p/CxdrfC4pf0ZtfT6iXujCe6kWwGgkdDRSnNfYbg0/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
This fabric is lovely, drapy, and works into the my wardrobe colors for a pair of wide leg pants that will coordinate with a wool hounds tooth blazer for fall. Highly recommend.
The cupro lining arrived quickly (I am on the US West coast, so I was surprised), and was exactly as advertised. A nice nude neutral that was perfect for my skirt. I trust Core fabrics for their high quality at a good price, and they never let me down.
