I can’t express how much fun I had putting this together. It tickled my brain doing a 5/8” FBA on a double darted bodice.
I used an African wax print. Next time I will French seam the trousers. I love the out come and I have had many compliments when wearing it.
I'm so happy with this: my new top has been worn first thing out of the wash every time :P So I'd better make more!
This is an amazing pattern. I absolutely love it. Great directions, easy to follow. Only modification I made was to shorten the butt elastic to 60% (instead of 70%) so it was tighter across my bum. Otherwise the sizing was accurate. I will definitely be making this again!
I'm not a beginner sewer, and have made pants before, but for my first pair of jeans I am so glad I took the class. The written instructions are good, but so much of the struggle or simple doubt (is it this way or that way?) is removed because you can just watch Heather doing it! I especially appreciated a lot of the extra tips, such as which way to sew for easier easing of the legs together, or how best to grade seams, or simply all the comments about common pitfalls Heather has seen with students. I'm already thinking about making another pair, but if it takes me a few months I know I'll come back to refresh my memory for some of the tricky parts.
So comfortable. So stylish! I'd be happy being seen in these PJs when putting out the bins, usually a no-no for me.
