Very much enjoying the duckbilled scissors. They make trimming and grading seams easier and more precise.

This denim softens up so much after washing. I love the colourcso much, I want to wear the jeans that I made everyday!
I used a second hand quilt that was in great shape to make the coat of my dreams. I made the medium (for reference I'm 5'9'', 37-31-41) and it's the oversized, comfy fit I was going for. I would likely make the sleeves one inch longer if I was doing it again. The only thing I struggled with was the bias binding around the collar which was mostly due to my inexperience with this type of sewing. Can't wait for spring to arrive so I can start wearing it!
I have only been a member for a short time (less than a month), but am absolutely happy with all the benefits.
I am returning to sewing after a hiatus where I was not satisfied with many of my makes - wrong fabrics, finished product looked very homemade, but not in a good way. I have returned because I am trying to avoid synthetics and polyester clothing and the whole mentality of fast fashion. My intention is to improve my sewing skills with each project.
Love the patterns. They are a cut above because I feel they are not just designed to be Easy, but to create a garment you will wear for years. Core Closet is very inspiring and educational! I am more than satisfied, you have exceeded my expectations!
