Beautiful dress, and great pattern! I did need to adapt the princess seam's curve a bit to fit my smaller breast. I initially just chose a smaller pattern size for the bust, but it gave me a hollow saggy top, since the cup size doesn't really shift between pattern sizes. It was easy enough to draft in though, just flattening the curve by a few cm.
I made a version 2 with the skirt from version 1. It looks amazing, I feel really good in it!
Thanks so much for sharing your experience with the Magnolia dress! We're glad you were able to adjust the princess seam curve to get the perfect fit for your bust—it sounds like Version 2 turned out beautifully!

Enjoy your gorgeous dress!
I like the color and weight of the denim for summer, but I wasn't expecting it to have "slubs" similar to a thin tee-shirt. It worked just fine for a pair of Frank's and I will wear them. Perhaps I hadn't read the description well.
While it is not on my 2026 rotation, it is a timeless style who’s time may come.
When I first heard about these, I thought that it was a “over promise, under deliver” situation. I couldn’t have been more wrong. These are totally worth the hype. I hadn’t realized the blades are sitting at an angle which makes trimming so much easier. Would 100% buy again.
As usual, Closet Core patterns and instructions are impeccable. I made myself an Elodie Dress for my son’s wedding, and I felt great in it.
