Inspiration struck hard in the form of BCI Cotton Voile with a captivating swirls of Emerald Green, Aubergine, and Siena Brown. Even the name of the fabric had me: The Grand Garden. I had been lusting after a cute summer top to go with my Sepia's, and when I saw this it felt like the stars aligned. It's beautiful and soft yet structured and the colours are as vibrant as stained glass! I literally gasped when it arrived. The computer screen doesn't do it justice!
I made the Nicks dress a few years ago and loved it. I want to make a skirt and blouse similar to the Nicks dress for more flexibility with this fabric. It is perfect for this project.
This is becoming a go-to fabric for me: it's so smooth and light, but it holds its shape and presses beautifully. I've made a Jenna shirt and a Zelda skirt, and both turned out gorgeous!
