If you like making garments with buttonholes, this sewing gauge will make your life easier. I have long avoided button plackets - switching them to zippers or snaps - because getting the spacing right and then matching up the buttons was such a chore! Especially if I had to adjust the garment’s length to fit my proportions, making the pattern’s button placement useless to me.
This gauge is simple to use and folds up into a small, flat thing, so it won’t take up space in your sewing kit.
