When I first heard about these, I thought that it was a “over promise, under deliver” situation. I couldn’t have been more wrong. These are totally worth the hype. I hadn’t realized the blades are sitting at an angle which makes trimming so much easier. Would 100% buy again.
I’m so happy with my fabrics. Description and pictures were bang on. Quality is great and shipping was fast. I’m definitely ordering again
I purchased the Midweight European Linen in deep teal and in iron, to make the Makers' Atelier Box Shirt and the Tessuti Naia trousers respectively. While it may have been a slightly heavy choice for the first pattern, it came out beautifully. The trousers came out amazing and I never want to stop wearing them :) I typically don't machine dry linen but the care instructions indicated you could - so I've been putting them in the drier on medium heat for 20-30 min to dewrinkle after washing, and they don't shrink or pill (hanging to dry for the rest). High quality and versatile fabric for sure!
Absolutely loved this pattern - Having been back to sewing for a few years - I have been mainly sewing boxy patterns for my slight but bosomy figure. This was my first foray into 'darts' and it is such a lovely pattern - still very simple and easy but a whole new boundary has been breached!
I made version out of an old and beloved habitat two tone duvet cover and it was a triumph, though I say so myself.
This is a beautiful pattern. I love it, but its been a difficult one. Perhaps a little above my skill level, but it seems like it will be worth it!
I'm surprised to realize that I purchased this pattern less than a month ago - I have already used it to make the 3 different versions of the Cielo top. From a technical perspective, the pattern is well designed, the instructions extremely clear and easy to follow. I have made modifications to the sleeve (one with no cuff and a few tucks, one with a short lantern sleeve) and to the hem (scalloped) and I absolutely love how the pattern is so amenable to customization. The pattern is also really great as is. I have so many ideas for new versions, and I also plan on making the dress. Based on my experience with this pattern, I am definitely interested in trying other Closet Core Patterns.
